When taking surveys of populations it's always best to have as large of a survey base as possible. For example, if you are trying to find what the most popular names in the US are, you will get far more accurate data with a survey pool as large as the US census then just asking random people walking thru Chicago or just people staying in hotels or an even smaller pool, just people in the lobbies in Chicago hotels.
